Guides

Robert Baden-Powell and his sister Agnes Baden-Powell founded the Girl Guides in Great Britain in 1910 in response to requests from girls who were interested in the Boy Scout movement established by Robert in 1908. The first Guide Company in India was started in Jabalpur, Central India, in 1911. Within a short span of two years, many more Guide Companies were formed in Howrah, Calcutta, Bombay, Madras, and other cities, but they were directly under the control of the Imperial Headquarters in London. The Guides section at our school was established in 2006.

Achievements:
• Nearly 128 students have received the Rajya Puraskar Certificate.
• Three students have participated in the International Jamboree.
• Five students have participated in the State Jamboree.
• These students have brought many laurels to the school and to our district by taking part in various competitions.
• Our school Guides are active participants in the activities conducted by the Bharat Scouts & Guides organization.

Cubs

The Bharat Scouts and Guides is a voluntary, non-political educational movement for young people, open to all without distinction of origin, race, or creed. It is based on the purpose, principles, and methods conceived by the founder, Lord Baden-Powell, in 1907. The purpose of the movement is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual potentials, both as individuals, responsible citizens, and as members of the local, national, and international communities.

Our institution started the Cub section in 2014. The main objectives of the Cub section are to: develop habits that lead to good character; encourage efforts directed towards good citizenship; learn practical skills essential to become a good Scout and a responsible individual; perform a daily good turn; develop an appreciation for the beauties of nature and awareness of God and Dharma; understand one’s state, people, and culture; and inculcate respect for family traditions, religious, social, or ancestral values, making efforts to follow them.

Cubs participate in a wide range of skill-based activities, including general outdoor skills, first aid, compass reading, and knot tying. They also enjoy various fun learning experiences. Boys in the Cub section become significantly more cheerful, helpful, kind, obedient, trustworthy, and develop a hopeful outlook towards their future, demonstrating the positive impact of the movement on their overall growth and personality.
