Sri.D.V.Kulkarni: One of the pioneer founders to whom VVS will ever be indebted to is Sri.D.V.Kulkarni. Unmindful of being the Founder Member and Joint Secretary of VVS, he personally went and collected money as handloan from the residents of Rajajinagar, to pay salary to teachers. As finances stabilized, he focused his efforts in mobilising a team of dedicated and selfless people to whom he could pass on the baton. Fortunately, he met the duo in the form of Sri.K.N.Srihari and Sri.P.R.Mundewadi very soon and rest is history.
Sri.KinhalSrinivasacharya: Belonging to the first line of founders, Sri.K.Srinivasacharya, had the singular distinction of being in the Executive Committee of VVS from the day the Sangha became functional. He is renowned to be the founder treasurer for 27 long years providing complete stability to the finances of VVS.
One of the pioneer founders of Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Mr.H.B.Purohit has played a crucial role in bringing foundational stability to the institution. He has played a major role in beginning VVS kannada Primary School. He has very actively co-ordinated with various Government offices and departments with regards to all administrative matters.
A Chartered Accountant and a Financial wizard, Sri.P.R.Mundewadi has held very high positions in Kirloskar Electricals and Investments. Being the Chairman of VVS for almost 6 decades, is indeed an approbation. Further his vision has emboldened the institution for future discreet expansion and quiet consolidation. He has always laid emphasis on high quality education and application of ICT in classroom engagement. Altruistically envisaged welfare schemes for VVS employees is an absolute touchstone of his forethought.
Born into the family of Village Shanbhogs, Sri.K.N.Srihari embraced Gandhian Ideals. His entry into VVS and officiating as Honorary Secretary and later Vice Chairman revealed his manifested idealism, knowledge and concentrated thoughts. VVS gained a varied cultural and literary identity as connoisseur of the native art, literature and dramatics due to his efforts. Under the banner of “Kavi-Kruthi Darshana”, he invited great doyens of Kannada literature to deliver lectures which was a literary feast to the listeners. His selfless and untiring dedicated effort has provided VVS its present glory.
VVS is blessed to utilize the services of an ex Chief Engineer of the Damodar Valley Project Sri B. Parthasarathy, whose experience and expertise is evident in modelling the physical infrastructure of all its main institutions like the Saptharshidhama, Dhruvadhama, Mangaladhama, Prakruthidhama and others. A Perfectionist and a highly knowledgeable person served as Vice Chairman of the Sangha and was popular as “Walking Encyclopaedia of VVS”.
Sri.M.N.Lakshminarayana Rao, was a brilliant orator and teacher. He, on the dint of his scholarship, experience and wisdom could fit into any role in VVS. Thus he was co-ordinator, VVS and lent his academic guidance to VVS institutions.
The present Secretary of VVS Sri.P.G.Dwarakanath has been the guiding force and a pillar of support for the establishment of VVS Institutions Mysore. He has been chiefly instrumental in procuring the space where VVS institutions presently functions. He is a National Best Teacher Awardee and widely recognised and respected in academic circles of Karnataka. His rich academic and administrative experience have provided a cutting edge to all academic and co-academic activities of VVS at large. His timely guidance and discreet vision has at all times created roadmaps in all VVS institutions for effective governance. Simplicity and humility adorn his academic competence.
